Penique’s third exhibition, the second at Nottingham Trent University, was an opportunity to showcase the limitless possibilities offered by the inflatable.
The venue, a bathroom, was of key importance and lent the finished work its character, impeding its usual function to become a work of art. Visitors easily related to the space and appeal lay in the original transformation of something every-day and familiar.
Esta es la tercera obra del colectivo y la segunda intervención que se realiza en el contexto universitario de la Nottingham Trent University.
El lugar a intervenir deviene sumamente importante y otorga carácter a la obra final. Se busca explotar los efectos de las diferentes localizaciones y los elementos que se puedan encontrar en ellas. La instalación se apodera del espacio impidiendo su función habitual, pasando así a convertirse en obra artística.
El potencial de este espacio recae en la cotidianeidad y en lo reconocible que resulta para el público.
